How Bout That Ride In

Well, the day finally came!  Saying goodbye to the family in Milwaukee was a difficult process but I think everyone handled it pretty well.  I have a great family, which is a blessing and a curse during times like this.  I wouldn't trade them for the world.

My first flight was an extremely short hop from Milwaukee to Chicago.  By short I mean I texted Brad (Watermelon) before and after the flight, and during the time he hadn't even finished eating breakfast.  It took like 15 minutes and my ears didn't even pop.  When I got off the flight and found my way to my ticketing area at O'Hare, things started taking a turn for the worse.  In addition to the 3 hour layover I was expecting, I was told that there was a 5 hour delay.  Talk about a long day.  Do I sleep at the airport and risk being awake for the whole flight?!  Anyone who knows me understands how I don't like to make decisions.  I decided to spend most of time checking out the hot stewardess that kept walking by.

After a while of people watching and eating Doritos, I decided it would be a good idea to send an email to the lady that was suppose to be picking me up at the Busan Airport.  Problem is, you see, I will not be making it to Seoul in time to catch the flight to Busan, which is probably going to result in me spending my night at some hotel in Seoul, instead of my own apartment.  I wasn't able to get a hold of the lady do to the time difference, so I just sent the email and will hope for the best.  These people are lucky I don't worry about much.

Anyways, back to the ride.  All night I was up thinking about how the hell I would keep busy for the 14 hour flight from Chicago to Seoul.  I am fully prepared to pop more pills than Brett Favre back in the MVP years in an effort to spend the entire trip is some sort of coma.  Speaking of Brett Favre, I brought "Favre Forever" along to Korea...

The flight ended up actually going pretty quick.  I got lucky and got to sit in an emergency exit seat so I had some leg room.  Although the food on the plane was shit, everyone did have their own tv screen that they could watch movies or tv shows on for free.   Like I said, that made the flight go fairly fast.

When I finally got to Seoul, things started going down hill.  First I found out that because of the delay, I missed my flight from Seoul to Busan, so I would have to stay in Seoul for the night.  Luckily the airport put me up at a very nice hotel and I slept like a baby.  Things are off to a good start!
